New development of the past few weeks: back pain. Now I expected back pain later in the pregnancy when I have a rather large lump pushing on things, but not this early. At just 4 inches long and 2 1/2 ounces, I didn't expect the bean to do a lot of damage this early. Well, I was wrong.
At my last appointment with my midwife, I learned that my uterus is growing backward rather than forward right now, which explains why I don't have a noticeable pregnant bely. It also explains why my back hurts so much. She did assure me that no one has ever had the bump growing out of their back instead of their belly, so I can expect it to right itself as the bean grows. I just hope it is soon.
